【お知らせ】9/11(土)午後2時~午後5時 東京にて英語限定のオフ会を開催予定です。

9月上旬に上記記事で登場するHenryが日本に観光客として来日予定です。そしてまた、彼は来年の1月から日本で働くかもしれないので、出来れば彼に英語が出来る日本人の人達を紹介してあげたいと思い、今回のオフ会を企画しました。

  • 場所 東京、山手線の駅のどこか
  • 時間 午後2時~午後5時(途中参加・退場可です)
  • オフ会参加予定の方々 offkai0911 (Followしていない人がいる場合は出来れば事前にFollowをお願いします)
  • オフ会参加資格
    • TOEIC730点以上 もしくは 英語で15分間話し続けられること。オフ会当日はほとんど全て英語で会話をする予定です。ですからこれくらいの能力がないと参加してつらいと思います。
    • facebookに本名で登録している人、もしくはfacebookに登録可能という人。オフ会以降も参加者の交流が続くようにこのようにしました。
  • 募集人数 参加募集締め切りました。もしキャンセルする人が出た場合、再募集をします。
  • 日本人以外のEnglish Speakerの方々にも出来れば参加してもらいです。日本人以外のEnglish Speakerを連れてこれる人は連れてきてください。
  • オフ会参加費 1,000円くらいかな?(詳細決まり次第ここに書きます)
  • 会場は禁煙

また当日に参加者同士が交流が進むように、会話が弾むように出来れば関心の近い人達に集まっていただきたいと考えています。オフ会当日に話される話題は以下の3つを想定しています。これらの話題に関心のある方の参加をお待ちしています。

  1. MBAの話題。Henryが全米で第10位のNew York UniversityのMBA過程に在学しているため。また、Henry自身は起業にも関心があるようです。
  2. 移民の街、多様性の街、New Yorkの話題。そして「多様性の街 New York」と「同質性の街 東京」の比較話など。
  3. 日本で外国人が働くとはどういうことか。Henryは日本で数カ月滞在したことがありますし、また日本での就労を希望しているのでその話など。あとはそれに絡めて移民の話などをできればしたいです。

今回オフ会の募集を早めにしたのは参加条件を高くしたからです。まずはこの条件でどれだけの人が集まるのか様子を見ます。人数が全然集まりそうにない場合は条件を緩めるつもりです。また、午後5時以降に英語が出来ない人にも参加してもらえる2次会を設けようとも考えています。

    I am an ex-programmer, working as a officer of a small IT company. I am specialized for cloud-based software system(SaaS), endpoint security system includes biometrics, single-sign-on, and drive encryption, etc…

    I like digital gadgets, reading books includes fiction, non-fiction and comics, finding nice restaurants, chatting with close friends, having time with performing arts, cinemas, etc.

    I love to sing! I sing in a choir on every weekend.

    I would like to talk about what kind of information he need in order to work in Japan, and how we could help him. I am also interested in what drove him to go to MBA, and how his thought changed as compared to those of before MBA. If he knew some MBA students who brought their family from their home country, it is also interests me how they satisfy their family during the MBA life.
